I have been a member of the faculty of St. Joseph School since 1981. I am a graduate of Kent State University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. Upon graduation I began teaching at St. Joseph Elementary School. I had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten for fifteen years. Following a move to Nashville Tennessee I became the director of McNeilly Center for Children. After moving back to Ohio I was named the Director of Teacher Development for the PPIC Head Start program. In the fall of 1999 I was lucky enough to return to St. Joseph School. I have taught the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes. I now teach the second grade. Along with teaching I have the honor of preparing my students for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. In 2003 I was honored to receive the Golden Apple Award for outstanding teaching in the Youngstown Diocese. I am a licensed Resident Educator Mentor and have been the cheerleading coach at St. Joseph School for over 25 years.
I reside in Hartville with my daughter Chloe. Chloe is a junior at Kent State University Honors College. She is majoring in Anthropology. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, and baking.
